The interactive project will be completed within the next year. Passersby think of a question or problem in their lives that provokes conflict or lacks clarity. They then spin the wheel at street level and a giant pointer on the mural spins to land on one of 64 characters. The character and its significance is displayed at street level. This project encourages spiritual well-being and introspection, as well as permanent interaction.
The original I Ching is one of the oldest Chinese divination texts. It uses a series of numbers and a hexagram to determine divine wisdom. It provided the basis of divination throughout many eastern countries for centuries.
